Matthew Smith is a registered architect and experienced project manager with over 17 years of expertise in building envelope, forensic, and rehabilitation design. As the Director of our San Antonio office, Matthew oversees a wide range of projects and ensures the highest standards of service and quality.

His primary areas of focus include the condition assessment of existing buildings, oversight and production of repair design documents, bid services, construction administration, and quality assurance observations during construction. Matthew excels in managing and overseeing all phases of existing building enclosure rehabilitation projects. His typical projects involve the assessment and repair design of commercial, educational, multi-family, and healthcare facilities.

Matthew’s previous forensic experience includes the evaluation of university and commercial buildings due to construction defects, rehabilitation of defective roofing systems, code upgrade reviews for fire-damaged facilities, and storm damage assessment of commercial and residential buildings.
